Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) seeks an experienced and motivated Non-Executive Director. Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
  • Audit / Accounting / Finance
  • Risk and Compliance
  • ICT / Project Management

About NSL

Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) aspires to grow and protect member funds and to provide financial security in their retirement. NSL is the Trustee for the largest superannuation fund in Papua New Guinea, Nambawan Super Fund, with K8.6 billion assets under management. NSL invests the contributions of members from both the public and private sectors for their retirement and has a track record of prudent investment and strong performance in recent years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure members’ interests are always given priority in making decisions of the fund.
  • Contribute to formulating strategy to meet the objectives of the Fund
  • Assist fellow Directors in setting the Trust’s values and standards & ensure that its obligations to its stakeholders and the wider community are understood and fairly balanced at all times
  • Effective engagement at the most senior levels of government, as well as stakeholder communications & management experience
  • Understanding the importance of cultivating the desired company culture & the role of the board in setting the “tone from the top”.
Key Requirements:
  • Collaborative leader with suitable professional background with sound Governance experience;
  • Resident in PNG & Member of PNG ID;
  • Senior Management &/or leadership experience with minimum of 20+ years senior & executive management experience;
  • Minimum of a Diploma in Business (or other relevant studies) however, a Degrees or MBA will be considered favourably;
  • Satisfy the Bank of PNG’s Fit & Proper assessment & not present any conflicts of interest; and
  • Valid form of identification.
