Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Superintendent
Hargy Oil Palms Limited (HOPL) is seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Safety Superintendent to lead and coordinate all OHS programs across company operations. This role ensures compliance with PNG legislation and RSPO standards, while promoting a strong safety culture and reducing workplace incidents across plantations, mills, workshops, and service departments.
About the Role
- Lead the implementation and improvement of HOPL’s OH&S management system.
- Ensure compliance with OHS legislation and RSPO relevant safety requirements.
- Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Deliver OHS training, emergency response drills, and awareness programs.
- Provide strategic advice to management and promote continuous improvement.
- Liaise with external regulators and internal departments on safety matters.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior OHS role in industrial or agricultural operations.
- Sound knowledge of PNG OHS laws and RSPO standards.
- Proven leadership, auditing, and training skills.
- Valid PNG Driver’s License.
