K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

This position reports to the Contracts Superintendent and will be responsible for supporting the management and administration of contracts to ensure the efficient delivery of services and materials required for operations.

As a member of a small team, this includes assisting in the development, negotiation, and execution of contracts. Additionally, it involves monitoring and reporting on contract performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in contract management.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Negotiate, administer, and maintain site contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure timely processing of approvals, amendments, and close-outs.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and master registers in the CMS.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess contractor capability.
  • Manage RFQ/tender evaluations and negotiate best-value deals.
  • Review and approve new vendor requests in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Document and communicate contract changes, issues, and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Coordinate contractor performance reviews and investigate discrepancies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters.
  • Lead meetings and foster strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain effective communication channels.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in contract management.
  • Support change initiatives and escalate potential risks promptly.
  • Promote health, safety, and zero-harm culture within the contracts team.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Law, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2 - 3 years’ relevant work experience in a Commercial Contracts role, preferably in mining or environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes.
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong commercial analysis and evaluation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to internal and external stakeholders, in writing and verbally.
  • Experience communicating with vendors in PNG and internationally.
  • Proficient in the operation of the Microsoft suite of tools.
  • Experience with the operation of Pronto or similar ERP (desirable).
