K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

To oversee the installation, maintenance, upgrade, and security of all information technology (IT) aspects as well as administration support in conjunction with company ITC policies.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include

• Daily routine server room checks.
• Daily network and server monitoring.
• Manage and maintain critical backup of servers and company data in compliance with best practices.
• Trouble shoot hardware, system and network issues.
• Repair hardware (printers, scanners, copiers, fax, pc and servers etc)
• Routine monthly server clean-up on all Kainantu servers.
• Routine monthly active directory (AD) clean-up for operations.
• Order IT equipment both new and replacement for damaged units.
• Troubleshoot communications issues (satellite link, telephone, mobile phones)
• Setup communication equipment in remotely located areas where required, (eg, Exploration fly camps).
• Provide administration support for applications such as Pronto.
• Install software and help troubleshoot issues associated with the application/software.
• Configure new PCs onto the domain and assist users with access to network resources.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.
• Perform all roles and responsibilities that support and reflect the company’s mission and core values.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have a Diploma or above in IT with a minimum of 2 years work experience in IT roles in extractive industry (mining preferred). In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Certified Premises and Fiber optics cabling certification
• Familiar with a Windows-based Server and Active Directory environment
• Understanding of the different hardware and software equipment.
• Excellent understanding of Information Technology and Communications Systems
