POSITION VACANCY

CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of Operations Analyst.

The Operations Analyst will provide critical support to the Manager, Operational Performance by conducting gap analyses, maintaining performance metrics, collecting and analysing data, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). This role is essential for improving operational efficiency, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Key responsibilities:

Gap Analysis and Process Improvement:

  • Conduct gap analyses on existing systems, policies, and procedures to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and recommend actionable solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with various units to implement process improvements.

Performance Metrics Management:

  • Update and maintain the performance metrics register to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities based on performance data.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect, map, and analyse data from each unit to support the creation of operations unit reports.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting systems.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to present data insights effectively.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present detailed operations reports to the Operational Performance Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Document processes, policies, and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with the Manager, Operational Performance to align operational activities with organizational goals.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the financial services/banking industry
  • Proven experience in conducting gap analyses and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong background in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with performance management systems and metrics tracking.
  • Knowledge of process mapping and workflow optimization tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
