Position

We’re seeking to recruits two results-driven professionals for the position of Operations Manager for our Port Moresby & Lae offices.

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of Construction Projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with Safety Regulations. The Operations Manager will coordinate between various departments, sub-contractors, and suppliers, and ensure the resources are allocated efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management Excellence

• Plan and oversee daily construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, regulatory bodies and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations, local codes, and environmental guidelines.
• Develop and monitor Project Timelines, budgets, resource allocation and preparing regular reports for senior management.
• Conduct site visits to ensure project progress and quality.
• Implement and improve operational processes for efficiency and cost control to minimize wastage and maximize profitability.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.
• Train and supervise site managers, engineers, foremen, and administrative staff.
• Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead procurement and logistics for construction materials and equipment.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Sales & Business Development Leadership

• Develop and Implement strategies to grow Sales expand market presence.
• Identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and secure contracts.
• Prepare and present project proposals, bids, and quotations to prospective clients.
• Negotiate terms of contracts and close sales to meet revenue targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.

Qualifications & Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in operations managements within the construction industry.
• Strong Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
