Position

We’re seeking to recruit a results-driven professional for the position of Operations Manager for our Port Moresby Operations.

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of Construction Projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with Safety Regulations. The Operations Manager will coordinate between various departments, sub-contractors, and suppliers, and ensure the resources are allocated efficiently.

In addition, the Operations Manager will lead sales and business development efforts, building client relationships, expanding market presence, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Projects

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple construction projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline workflows.
• Monitor resource allocation and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Implement risk management strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.

Concrete Manufacturing

• Manage production schedules to meet customer demand.
• Oversee quality control processes to maintain product standards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Lead workforce management, including training, performance monitoring, and team development.
• Optimize operational costs while maintaining efficiency and product quality.

Sales & Business Development

• Develop and execute strategies to expand market share and customer base.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
• Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets and achieve revenue goals.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

Qualifications & Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in construction operations, manufacturing management, and/or business development.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and production facilities.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and quality standards.
• Experience in sales strategy, client relationship management, and revenue growth.
• Background in resource planning, budgeting, and cost control.
