Our client is a leading player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and manufacturing sector, specialising in the production and distribution of high-quality beverages. Operating as a major industrial entity with a nationwide footprint, they manage large-scale supply chains, multiple production facilities, and a diverse workforce.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Packaging Manager to lead packaging operations in Lae and Port Moresby. You will manage the packaging team and oversee the full process to ensure smooth operations. Safety is a priority, and you will drive strategy in line with company policies and legal requirements to achieve production targets and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

• Implementing and monitoring of Heineken’s global safety and food safety standards to prevent any operational risks.
• Experience in managing product and process quality, including risk identification and implementing quality procedures in line with standards
• Strong leadership experience in managing teams, including recruitment, performance, and staff development
• Experience in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean, or continuous improvement, with the ability to enhance packaging processes and support innovation
• Strong process management skills, ensuring compliance with packaging procedures, company standards, and industry regulations
• Experience in equipment management, including selecting, maintaining, and optimising packaging machinery in line with company standards.
• Strong planning and execution skills, including staff and resource management, productivity monitoring, and daily operational adjustments
• Manage relationships with suppliers for machinery and materials.

Requirements of the Role

• Degree in Engineering, Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG or production environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of quality systems (GMP, HACCP, ISO)
• Experience in TPM, Lean or Six Sigma is an advantage
