About the role

This role is responsible to respond to emergencies and attend to serious accidents and injuries and provide urgent care.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Operate ambulance and respond to emergencies.
• Work alongside the Emergency Response Team to establish intensive care and trauma Centre in an emergency.
• Use tech equipment and tools to stabilize patients or provide immediate treatment.
• Liaise with local medical providers (Ramu Private Clinic, Gusap Clinic, Kainantu Hospital, Clinics, and hospitals in Lae) as required.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have a Bachelor in Paramedic science or Bachelor in Rural Health Science or equivalent. You must also have proven experience as a paramedic in a similar work environment. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Possess current Class 6 driver’s license.

• Current Authority to Practice Medicine Certificate.
• Formal qualifications issued by Registered Academic institution in emergency medicine.
• Have knowledge about occupational health and safety.
