Parts Interpreter

Behind every vehicle on the road is a parts operation that has to be accurate, efficient, and responsive. When the right part is supplied quickly, workshops run smoothly and customers stay loyal.

We’re looking for a capable Parts Interpreter to join our Kokopo team.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be the link between the workshop, the customer, and the warehouse.

Your role is to correctly identify, source, and supply parts for service jobs, retail customers, and trade clients. That means interpreting parts using catalogues and systems, checking availability, preparing quotes, processing orders, and ensuring accurate documentation.

You’ll work closely with technicians to confirm specifications and avoid errors. You’ll liaise with suppliers when required, follow up backorders, and keep customers informed. Accuracy is critical — one incorrect part can delay a job, increase costs, and damage trust.

You’ll also support stock control processes, assist with inventory management, and help maintain an organised and professional parts counter environment.

Speed matters. Accuracy matters more.

Who This Suits

This role suits someone organised, technically minded, and confident communicating with both workshop staff and customers.

You’re comfortable using parts catalogues and computer systems. You pay attention to detail. You double-check part numbers. You don’t guess.

Experience in automotive parts interpretation is strongly preferred, particularly within dealership or branded environments. However, strong automotive knowledge, discipline, and willingness to learn will also be considered.

If a technician asks for a part — you confirm it properly.
If stock is low — you flag it early.
If a customer needs clarity — you explain it clearly.
