ACCOUNTS PAYABLE OFFICER

Pactrade (PNG) Limited is an established FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and is part of CJ Patel Group of Companies in Fiji. Pactrade is represented in PNG with its Head Office in Port Moresby and a branch in Lae, Morobe Province. We are looking for committed and dynamic candidates for the above position open at our Head Office in Port Moresby.

Reporting directly to the Accountant, Accounts Payable Officer shall be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Responsibilities include:

 Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

 Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.

 Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.

 Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements

 Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients

 Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.

 Understand expense accounts and cost centres.  Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes.

Requirements and skills

 Diploma in Accounting (Compulsory)
 Minimal (1) years’ experience in similar role
 Familiar with MS Office Suite, and experience in any Accounting Software
 Fluent in English language both written and oral
 Excellent time management skill & ability to priorities a demanding workload.
 Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
 Ability to work autonomously.
