Accounts Officer

• Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
• Reporting to: Finance Manager

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate, timely salary payments, tax withholding and deduction in compliance with regulations. Key duties include maintaining employee data, calculating bonuses/overtime, resolving discrepancies, and preparing reports.

Job Description:

• Payroll Processing: Process weekly and fortnightly payroll, including salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to tax laws, labor regulations, and superannuation requirements. Prepare payroll reports for management.
• Data Management:
• Maintain and update employee records, including personal details, bank accounts, and leave balances.
• Query Resolution: Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax.
• Maintains an effective filing system.

Requirements qualification and skills to be successful in the role:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Knowledgeable in Attache
• Sound Computer skills and ability to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
