Mining Services HVK are seeking expressions of interest from highly committed employees to join our Operations Team here at Hidden Valley Mine. Candidate must maintain high level of commitment to excel in this role as an operator.
Position Description:
- Operating a PC 450 Excavator to a proficient level, whilst complying to all site safe work procedures.
- Practise good housing keep inside the cabin at all times and operate equipment guided by legislation, policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate behaviour of, safety accountability, honesty, connectedness toward all co-workers
Candidate must meet the following requirements:
Qualifications
- Prior experience in operating PC 450 or exposure to Dewatering and Projects works.
- Experience in operating Loader, Dozer, Moxy, Wheel Dozer, Pump Operations equipment’s will be an advantage
Requirements and Attributes
- Minimum of 2 years or more operating Excavators in Dewatering and Projects works.
- Must have competencies to match the position.
- Be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Be able to operation in wet and challenging conditions.
- Be committed to attending work on rostered shift.
- Be positive attitude and willing to learn.

Company Description: The Hidden Valley mine is an open pit gold and silver mine, situated in the Morobe province in Papua New Guinea, some 210km northwest of Port Moresby and approximately 90km south-southwest from Lae, the capital of the province. The mine is located at elevations between 2 800m and 1 700m above sea level within steep mountainous and forested terrain that experiences approximately 3m of rainfall per year. The major gold and silver deposits of Hidden Valley are located in the Morobe Granodiorite of the Wau Graben. Crushed ore is conveyed from the Hidden Valley pit via a 3.8km long overland pipe conveyor and is treated at the Hidden Valley processing plant, which uses a two stage crushing circuit followed by a SAG mill, gravity, CCD/Merril Crowe circuit for silver and carbon-in-leach circuit for the gold.
