The Role
This pivotal role involves understanding core permitting needs, crafting compliant solutions, and managing critical regulatory information. You'll champion best practices in environmental and legal compliance, all while ensuring our project activities hit the mark and align perfectly with strategic goals and national regulations.

Main duties include:
  • Maintaining the environment team's permitting schedule.
  • Assisting with the preparation and/or review of documentation for submission to authorities, including notifications, letters, requests for information, and permit applications.
  • Updating permitting registers daily and managing the safe storage of physical and electronic permits, Minutes of Meetings (MoMs), and other documents on information management systems.
  • Assisting with the submission of regular reports to relevant regulatory bodies like CEPA and NPA.
  • Managing the payment of fees to the relevant authorities, in coordination with the Finance Department.
  • Assisting with the organization of meetings, preparation of agendas, and supporting material, and preparing MoMs for all meetings with regulatory bodies (e.g., CEPA for Environment Act permits, NPA for Oil and Gas Act permits).
  • Liaising and interacting with other departments or government entities such as the Lands Department or the National Maritime and Safety Authority when relevant.
Qualification and Experience:
  • Degree in environmental studies or law.
  • Previous experience in the Oil and Gas Sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Act and the Environment Act is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Creative problem-solving and thinking skills.
  • Strong level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
