The Pest Control Technician is responsible for conducting thorough inspections, accurately identifying pest activity, implementing appropriate treatment programs, and providing clear, professional recommendations to clients. The role requires adherence to safety standards, correct handling of chemicals and equipment, and maintaining detailed service records to ensure compliance and service excellence.

Pest Control Technician

The applicant must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
• Age 18-30 years
• 2-3 years’ work experience in the industry or equivalent
• Sound knowledge in pest treatment methods, chemicals and safety procedures preferrable but not necessary (training provided)
• Physically fit and capable of doing field work
• Able to work overtime and on weekends
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under minimum supervision and in a team
• Computer skills (basics)
• Driver’s License preferred
• Police Clearance compulsory

Key Responsibilities for the Position.

• Perform pest control treatments for clients
• Identify pest issues
• Safely operate pest control equipment
• Apply pesticides according to label and industry/regulatory guidelines
• Complete treatment reports after every treatment
• Communicate treatment plans and recommendations to customers
