The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) has immediate vacancies for the following positions. These are full time positions based in Tinsley Rural Hospital, Mul Baiyer, Western Highlands Province.

Pharmacist (8CHSWHP215)

Purpose of the role

Responsible to the Senior Medical Officer of Medical Services is responsible to fully understand and implement the activities at the Hospital Pharmacy, Dispensary, Health Centres and other health facilities.

Outline of duties:

• Organize the pharmacy and dispensary in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labelling medicine and other pharmaceutical supplies and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration
• Ensure proper preparation and administration appropriate pharmaceuticals to clients
• Review and execute Medical Doctors and Health Extension Officers prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
• Listen carefully to clients to interpret their needs and issues and offer appropriate information and advice.

• Requirements for the role:

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
• Must have Minimum of 2- 3 years of work experience as a pharmacist
• Good administrative ability with sound knowledge in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Service
• Must be registered with PNG Medical Board/Committee of PNG
• Good Public Relation and Communication skills
• Must have a valid NID Card or Birth Certificate
