The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) has immediate vacancies for the following positions. These are full time positions based in Kompiam District Rural Hospital, Kompiam Enga Province.

Pharmacy Technician /Assistant (8CHSENG054) PTE3

Purpose of the role

Responsible to the Hospital Pharmacists to fully understand and implement the activities at the Hospital Pharmacy, Dispensary, Health Centres and other health facilities

Outline of duties:

• Assist the District Hospital Pharmacist in organizing the pharmacy and dispensary in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Assist in maintaining full control over delivering, stocking and labelling medicine and other pharmaceutical supplies and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration
• Assist in ensuring proper preparation and administration appropriate pharmaceuticals to client
• Attend to client and listen carefully to interpret their needs and issues and offer appropriate information and advice
• Carry out other others as prescribe by the Hospital Pharmacist or his/her delegate
• Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations and procedures

Requirements for the role:

• Must have Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician

degree in Nursing care or Electrical Engineering

• Sound knowledge and working as a Pharmacy Technician and working in the Pharmaceutical Services for at least 1-4 years
• Must be registered with PNG Medical Board/Committee of PNG
• Good Public Relation and Communication skills
• Must have a valid NID Card or Birth Certificate
