About the role

To provide physiotherapies in terms of restoring muscular skeletal functions of the injured (rehabilitations), breathing techniques after a chest illness (chest physio), neurological deficits, and managing work related chronic muscle/joint aches. Provide guidance and trainings/education to prevent musculoskeletal injuries to boost workforce capability and capacity in the respective workplace.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Intervention and treatment aimed at prevention of impairments, activity limitations, disability and injury including the promotion and maintenance of health, quality of life, workability and fitness in all ages and populations.
• Ensuring proper equipment/instruments are in place to assist in rehabilitation programs and clinical management on site.
• Coordinate program/training for first aid management in terms of musculoskeletal injuries at different workstations to prevent disabilities.
• Work closely with the Doctors/HEOs and HSE Superintendents, Coordinators to assess performance and identify improvement projects to maximise results, reduce risk and implement cost management initiatives.
• Ensure effective processes for communicating relevant information, including company, site, department, and team performance, to all team members are in place.
• Putting in place proper referral pathway for the attending health care worker for further physiotherapy management.
• Identify skills gaps and training requirements and assist in developing training packages as required to close the skills gap.
• Coordinate and assist with the delivery of training to employees in-regard to holistic management.

About You

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Bachelor or Diploma in Physiotherapy with 5 years minimum work experience in an extractive industry or heavy construction environment. In addition to this, candidates should also have experience and be able to demonstrate some or all the following.

• Rehabilitation interventions on post musculoskeletal injuries, post CVA clients, post-surgical patients, and other medical conditions which required restoration of normal neurological and musculoskeletal functions.
• Perform acupuncture / Dry Needling (Bilateral Limbs)
• Carry out Muscle Activation
• Knowledgeable on using Advance Physiotherapy Treatment Modalities like TENS and Ultrasound therapy Machine
• Providing pain management through physiotherapy
• Providing and carrying outs fitness programs to prevent lifestyle diseases.
• Experience with handling big built patients without complications.
• Familiarization with the use of medical equipment/instrument necessary for physiotherapy
• Computer proficiency in MS Office suite.
