PIPE FITTER

2. Role Overview
   
   We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Pipe Fitter to join our Projects and Engineering Department at our Motukea facility. Reporting to the Lead Fabrication Supervisor or Project Manager, this hands-on workshop Pipe Fitter role is responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance , and repair of piping system .
3. Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications
• Fabricate, assemble, install, and align piping systems and components
• Measure, cut, thread, and weld (where qualified) pipes to required tolerances
• Install supports, brackets, and hangers for piping systems
• Conduct pressure testing, inspections, and troubleshooting of piping systems
• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of worn or damaged piping systems
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO)
• Comply with all MTIS safety policies and procedures.

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Trade Certificate in Pipe Fitting / Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in piping (mining, oil & gas, or construction)
• Proven experience in both fabrication and installation environments
• Knowledge of industry standards and codes.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of pipping systems, materials, and fittings.
• High Attention to details and precision.
• Desirable attained certification in Working in Confined space entry and Working at Heights
