About the Role
This role is based at the Iagifu Ridge in the Southern Highlands Province (SHP) of Papua New Guinea (PNG). It offers a unique field-based opportunity, operating on a 28 days on, 28 days off rotational pattern. The position involves working in a dynamic environment, ensuring the successful completion of key projects and maintenance tasks.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, working on significant projects that impact both the local and broader community.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Maintain and monitor Instrumentation Equipment along the LNG Pipeline Valve Stations, Metering sites, Cathodic Protection sites and Communication Towers from Hides to Kopi, Kikori.
  • Completion of planned Pipeline Preventive Maintenance and timely installation of Instrumentation equipment to ensure uninterrupted LNG delivery to customers.
  • Maintain timely Work Management processes using SAP, including raising notifications, completing closing comments, and work order closeouts.
  • Proficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete both routine and non-routine tasks effectively.
  • Timely response to equipment failures or breakdowns, ensuring defects are reported and rectified promptly.
  • Accurate and timely submission of planned maintenance reports, inspection sheets, and incident reports.

About You

Experience
Essential:

  • Extensive experience working in hazardous areas within the Mining and Oil & Gas industries, ensuring safety and efficiency in challenging conditions.
  • Skilled in maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation equipment in hazardous environments, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • In-depth understanding of routine maintenance and installation for Oil & Gas facilities and pipelines, contributing to operational reliability and safety.
  • Proficient in working with Fire and Gas detection systems and fire suppression systems, enhancing safety protocols and emergency readiness.
  • Basic knowledge and operational understanding of Gas Turbine Generators, including attending to corrective breakdowns and ensuring continuous power generation.
  • Significant experience working in the Mining and Oil & Gas sectors, bringing a wealth of knowledge and practical insights to each project.

Qualifications
Essential:

  • Instrument trade certificate. Process and safety control system.
  • Current Hazardous Area Equipment Inspection/Installation Training Certificate.
  • Swagelok training Certificate.
  • Current PNG Driving License.
  • Grade 12 Certificate, Instrument technical training, preferable enhanced by technical school and/or university course.

Ideally, you are a proactive professional skilled in SAP for maintenance management, with a keen ability to interpret technical diagrams and expertise in instrument calibration. Committed to HSES excellence, you ensure incident-free operations.

You possess excellent communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, strong organisational abilities, and you excel in dynamic environments. Your problem-solving skills and adaptability make you an influential and effective team player.
