Administration Assistant – Remuneration & Benefits
The Administration Assistant – Remuneration & Benefits will support various administrative functions, ensuring efficient operations within the Remuneration and Benefits Section in the Human Resources & Employee Development Department. This role requires a well-organized individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Minimum Grade 10 education with tertiary qualifications in Clerical / Administration
- Minimum of two years Clerical or Administration experience with strong office management skills
- Some working knowledge of Nasfund, basic IRC regulations, Medical & Life Insurance policies
- Attention to details especially with data accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of information
- Excellent command of English, Pigin and Ipili both written and spoken
- Computer Literate (MS Office Suites) and some knowledge of an integrated management system
- Strong communication skills, including telephone etiquette, and the ability to interact effectively across all levels
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills, mature and stable attitude with a lot of patience and tolerance
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to daily employee queries at the counter and follow through with the feedback
- Assist the Benefits Officers verify employee records for Nasfund, Accrued Benefits, FBA, School Fee applications, Medical referrals, Deceased employee’s entitlements and other employee benefits including EAPs and present for the Authorized Company delegates to sign off
- Assist Benefits Officers collate, process and record employee information and data
- Assist Benefits Officers track and manage invoices and payments for services rendered to the company
- Participate in the department KPIs and open to suggest ideas for improvement in our service levels
- Assist Benefits Officers and Supervisors with daily section administration and house keeping
- Maintain effective communication and ensure thorough handover processes
- Maintain a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant NPL policies & Procedures.
Mobilization Requirement
- All applicants must have an up-to-date police clearance Certificate, Acquired within the last 6 months
- Ability to successfully pass a pre- employment medical and drug and alcohol test
- Be a Local Porgeran Candidate (Cat 1a – SML, Cat 1b –LMP or Cat 2 – Other Porgera) and available to start immediately
- The Roster is 14 days on and 7 days off including weekends
