The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager - Food and Beverage to join their operations. This pivotal, middle-management role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing preferred suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance for our hospitality operations, including hotels, restaurants, and serviced apartments. If you have a strong background in procurement, a commercial mindset, and are committed to driving cost optimisation and process excellence, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organisation's objectives.
- Achieve cost savings through effective supplier negotiation, contract terms, and demand planning while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage tendering, negotiation, and other procurement-related activities.
- Establish, maintain, and evaluate strong relationships with key and preferred F&B suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that arise.
- Conduct supplier selection, contract negotiation, and cost management based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Ensure that suppliers comply with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and conduct activities in an ethical and transparent manner.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Help to drive process excellence through automation and digitalisation across procurement.
- Collaborate with other departments and divisional managers to ensure procurement activities support business objectives.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain or similar is preferred.
- Management, in a related field is required.
- Proven end-to-end procurement experience is essential.
- Experience managing contracts, tenders, and supplier negotiations is desirable.
- Knowledge of Hospitality Operations, especially purchasing for hotels, restaurants, and serviced apartments, is essential.
- Demonstrated Negotiation and Vendor Management skills.
- Strong capabilities in Cost Control and Budget Management.
- Excellent interpersonal and written Communication Skills.
- High level of Integrity and commitment to ethical procurement practices.
- Proven Team Orientation and strong Attention to Detail.
