Procurement Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Procurement Manager with construction experience to lead complex procurement activities for our Company. In this pivotal role, you will be the key point of contact for all Procurement related activities, ensuring all materials purchased meet technical specifications, financial targets, and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be critical in guiding the Procurement team from the initial planning stages through to final handover of projects.

Role Overview

As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Company’s procurement department, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. Your role involves developing strong sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to: Group HR & Administration Manager

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes including RFP/RFQ management.
  • Develop strong sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supply reliability.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in supplier markets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on capability, financial stability, compliance, and performance
  • Manage supplier relationships to drive performance improvement, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and service level agreements.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions to secure favourable pricing, delivery, and legal terms.
  • Ensure all contracts are executed in accordance with company policy and legal standards.
  • Monitor procurement spend and identify cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, ethical standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Implement and monitor procurement controls to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and align procurement plans with business needs.
  • Provide guidance and training on procurement policies and processes.
  • Provide Weekly and Monthly Reports
  • Other duties in line with the role as required by Management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Procurement Manager in the construction industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Procurement/Supply Chain in the construction industry
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with and ERP system would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated understanding of procurement principles, purchasing processes, and vendor management.
