PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR

The Company

We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join Capex Solutions Limited, a growing construction company established in Lae, Papua New Guinea. We are engaged in projects across the spectrum of Commercial, Residential, Civil, Industrial and Mining sectors.

The Role

The Procurement Supervisor manages the buying of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services needed for projects, making sure they arrive on time, meet specifications, and stay within budget. The role also involves supplier coordination, contract and bid support, purchase order tracking, and cost control across construction.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers and contractors for construction needs.
• Prepare, review, and support bids, tenders, contracts, and purchase documents.
• Coordinate deliveries so materials and equipment match project schedules.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery timelines.
• Track costs, invoices, and procurement records to keep spending under control.
• Support site warehouses and storemen in their tasks
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have 3 years minimum experience in procurement supervision. Experience in a construction environment, and sound knowledge of construction materials is a must. In addition to this, candidates should also be able to demonstrate some or all the following.

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
• Demonstrated procurement experience.
• Five (5) years prior experience with an integrated computer system
• Sound understanding of Cataloguing standards, Warehousing, Purchasing and Procurement Functions (Desirable)
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Attention to detail and precision in work.

Immediate start desirable.

This is a residential, full-time role based in Morobe (Lae), Papua New Guinea. A competitive package commensurate with skills and experience will be offered to the right candidate.
