PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR-LAE BASE

International Food Corporation Limited, the leading manufacture of Besta Mackerel and Tuna products in PNG and South Pacific seeking to recruit highly motivated and qualified experience individual to fill the position of Procurement Supervisor.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, services, and materials for the organization at competitive prices while ensuring quality and timely delivery. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and maintaining accurate records of purchases and inventory.

Key JOB Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms of service.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure proper documentation of procurement activities.
• Monitor and forecast inventory levels and reorder materials as needed.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on price, quality, service, and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives related to procurement.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of supply chain procedures and market research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and procurement software (PRONTO).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
