Nestle PNG Limited is seeking a dedicated and detailed oriented Line Leader for the Production Team based at our Lae Factory site.

Reporting directly to the Production Line Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading shift operations while ensuring that the production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with internal and external requirements, meeting safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environmental needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Direct the shift by establishing clear performance targets and expectations aligned with factory and departmental goals.
• Comply with health, food safety, and regulatory requirements for all manufactured products.
• Manage the receipt and return of materials while overseeing the IMPACT program for tracking material variances.
• Maintain working areas and installations in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Perform monthly traceability checks to ensure accurate recording of batch and product codes.
• Coach teams on the shop floor, monitoring compliance with operating standards and key routines.
• Collaborate with peer Production Team/Line Leaders to promote and support the sharing of manufacturing best practices.
• Monitor production performance using the SAM tracking tool and generate daily performance reports.
• Develop operational standards and routines for new or renovated products and equipment.
• Facilitate proper line release and setup following maintenance and cleaning activities.
• Maintain high standards of discipline, addressing any deviations from expected practices promptly.
• Conduct safety audits and implement Job Safety Analysis to enhance workplace safety.

Qualification, skills, and experience:

• Degree/Diploma in a relevant Field (Applied Sciences, Food Tech, Engineering etc)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proven ability to build trust and foster effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite; knowledge of production tracking tools is desirable.
