Position Vacant: Production Stores Supervisor
Function: Logistics
Location: Lae
We have an immediate requirement for a Productiosn Stores Supervisor, to join our Logistics Team in Lae , reporting to the Logistics Manager.
The Production Stores Supervisor main responsibility is to plan, order, receive, organize and deliver to production the required raw and packaging materials on a timely basis to ensure production process, both brewing and packaging, is carried out without interruption so as to supply to customers final product on time in full.
Main Duties will include:
Materials stock monitoring and ordering based on minimum stock order levels
- Carry out weekly empty bottles reconciliation and stock counts of fast moving materials like cans and trays on site.
- Follow up on materials order by liaising with Purchasing.
- Carry out detailed monthly stock take of all materials.
- Maintain weekly stock reconciliation and closeout with production team.
Materials warehouse management
- Coordinate with transport agent cartage of materials from wharf to container storage yard or warehouse.
- Coordinate with transport agent cartage of materials from container storage yard or secondary warehouse to Brewery warehouse.
- Perform Entry Quality Checks (EQC) in conjunction with Quality Control technician upon receipts of materials.
- Organize storage & issue of materials according to FIFO system with proper labeling detailing order number, date of receipt and EQC check status.
- Receive goods into system via Goods received notification (GRN).in SAP
- Organize physical issue of materials to users upon receipt of material request/issue voucher.
- Ensure warehouse is in clean and tidy state and properly organized.(5S)
- Administration activities
- Review OPR to ensure stocks are received and receipted on time.
- Keep proper records of batch/order numbers of materials issued to users as part of tracking & tracking policy.
- Perform daily entries of material issues into System.
- Prepare weekly empty bottles reconciliation report. Prepare monthly materials stock sheet (materials variance report).
Staff training and development
- Evaluating subordinates' performances and recommending training needs.
- Conduct training and coaching of subordinates.
- Carry out performance appraisal of subordinates
General management
- To adhere strictly to labor rules and safety regulations.
- To supply and enforce the use of safety equipment for all subordinates so as to comply strictly to the safety regulations and standards in place.
- Be responsible for discipline of subordinates.
- To manage and control the general Labour work.
- To organize good housekeeping in the warehouse.
- To plan annual leave for subordinates based on production demand.
- Conduct regular weekly/monthly team meetings with staff
Eligibility
- Preferably bachelor’s in Business Administration.
- 5+ years’ of experience in Logistics, warehousing and distribution environments.
- 2+ years in supervisory role with good people experience
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft word, excel and power point.
- Must have SAP system experience with strong inventory background.
- Familiar with Workplace Safety
- Drivers License preferable
