What you’ll do:
This role manages Santos Foundation’s Youth Opportunities Program, ensuring targets, budgets, and timelines are met. It focuses on building and maintaining stakeholder relationship, Implementing key program activities, developing local capacity, and delivering reports with key metrics, risks, and recommendations.
This position is located in the Santos office in Port Moresby.
Key accountabilities include:
- Supports planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of the Youth Opportunities Program with internal and external partners.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders to align programs with Santos and GoPNG policies.
- Supports capacity building and professional development of PNG staff involved in the program.
- Contributes to annual budget development aligned with strategic goals and grant agreements.
- Monitors program expenditure and provides accurate financial forecasts for planning.
- Ensures compliance with donor reporting requirements and contributes to new grant design and strategy.
- Delivers accurate, timely program reports to the SPM and Strategy & Performance team.
- Performs additional tasks as directed by the SPM.
- Substantial experience in program budget management.
- Strong planning, workload management, and team-building skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing agriculture projects or programs in PNG
- Effective contributor to senior leadership teams.
- Experienced in managing development programs in PNG.
- Skilled in working respectfully with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of operating in complex and challenging environments.
