1. Position Details

• Position Title: Project Engineer
• Department: Projects
• Reports To: Project Manager
• Location: Project Site + Office

2. Introduction of the Position

• The Project Engineer provides technical, contractual, and work planning support to the Project Manager and site team. This role is key to ensuring design, quality, and work specification requirements are met.

3. Expected Outcome of the Job

Within 12 months, the Project Engineer will:

• Maintain 100% up-to-date project documentation and job card register
• Submit all variations and claims within 7 days of event
• Support delivery of project works withing budget

4. Working Relationship

• Reports to: Project Manager
• Works With: Site Superintendent, Supervisors, Site Foreman, Consultants, Surveyors.
• Key Internal Stakeholders: Projects Admin Team, Procurement, Q&A Engineers
• Key External Stakeholders: Engineers, Architects, Subcontractors and Clients

Key Responsibilities

• Technical: Interpret drawings, work specs, and manage work coordination
• Contractual: Prepare and track variations and subcontract works
• Programming: Develop and update monthly and weekly work programs
• Quality: Ensure Quality and Assurance standards are met
• Cost: Assist with cost forecasting, cost reports, and procurement

7. Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor in Civil Engineering
• Experience: 3-5 years in construction civil works
• Skills: AutoCAD, Contract knowledge, Technical writing, submissions, variations and BOQs
