Project Lead - GBV Training Program

FHI 360 is a global development organization with over 50 years of experience partnering with governments, civil society, and communities to deliver evidence-based solutions that improve health, promote gender equality, and strengthen social systems. In Papua New Guinea, FHI 360 works with national and subnational stakeholders to address complex development challenges, including gender inequality and violence against women and girls, while upholding strong safeguarding, ethical, and accountability standards in line with DFAT and international best practice.

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) remains a critical human rights and public health issue in PNG, driven by unequal power relations, harmful social norms, and structural barriers to accessing services. FHI 360 adopts a survivor-centred, trauma-informed, and rights-based approach to GBV prevention and response, focusing on strengthening the capacity of frontline service providers, improving referral and coordination mechanisms, and ensuring safe, confidential, and ethical engagement with survivors. This position will support the delivery of high-quality GBV training across selected provinces, contributing to improved service quality and strengthened GBV response systems.
