Project Manager (Building & Construction)
Job Summary
The Project Manager (PM) is the primary lead responsible for the successful execution of building projects. You will act as the central point between our clients, design teams and site crews. Your mission is to deliver high-quality structures that meet all technical specifications while strictly adhering to timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Lifecycle Management: Lead projects from pre-construction/tendering through to final commissioning and defects liability periods.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, verify subcontractor claims and negotiate variations to maintain project margins.
- Scheduling & Programming: Develop and maintain the master project schedule and ensure all critical path milestones are met.
- Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Prequalify, appoint and coordinate multiple trades to ensure seamless workflow and quality control.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for developers, architects and local authorities, providing transparent progress reporting.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce a "Zero Harm" culture on-site, ensuring 100% compliance with Safety and Building Regulations.
Key Requirements
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field or equivalent in experience.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in a PM role specifically within the [Commercial/Residential/Industrial] building sector.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of project management software.
- Technical Knowledge: Exceptional ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
- Contractual Expertise: Solid understanding of industry-standard contracts and dispute resolution.
