JOB INTRODUCTION

G4S Secure Solutions (PNG) Limited provides Man Guarding Security Services to our valued clients. The Project Manager (PM) manages a Client contract and ensures that the services are provided to the agreed requirements and standards. He is the first point of contact and he will be contactable and responsive to the Client on all matters related to the performance of this contract 24 hours a day seven days a week. The Guard Force assigned to the client contract works a 12 hour rotating shift 24 hours a day 7 days a week over a 14 day period roster.

JOB DUTIES

The Project Manager must be able to provide protective program management and provide the client contact with specific information and status of the local guard force on a daily basis. The PM Is to be knowledgeable in the use of the information maintained on a specific database system. The PM shall be dedicated fully to support this contract and be available and responsive to the designated representatives of the contract on all matter related to the performance of the contract 24 hours peer day seven days a week. The PM shall be accessible in person within an hour of request by the designated representatives of the contract.

The Project Manager will maintain a schedule of weekly meetings with the client to maintain the open communication and dialogue enabling prompt action to identify and rectify any issue that may hamper the overall delivery of services to the client.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: The Project Manager must have completed a Secondary Education, Polytechnical school, National Diploma or an Associate Degree or have experience in program a project management and qualification on a range of security related skills a record of proven reliability and good conduct.
• Experience: The Project Manager must have a minimum of 10 years Police/ Military /Security experience or local Guard Force management experience with a minimum of 5 years Guard Force supervisory or command levels. The Project Manager must have a knowledge of overseas and local security environments
• Experience with risk management including problem identification and problem solving would be highly recommended. The Project Manager will analyse the operations environment throughput the region, country and city and work closely with the client representative to ensure that security posture and counter measures are compliant.
• Knowledge & Skills
  • Able to speak and communicate in English
  • Ability and experience in multi levels of communication between various levels of management
  • experience in managing security staff or local guide force management
  • be an expert in area of physical security and access control
  • understand operational methods of all Guard Force units and zone for responses
  • Maintain a professional demeanor under highly stressful circumstances
  • Be experienced in basic communications and Radio use/procedures;
  • Be able to communicate between all parties
  • Provide risk management plan and perform qualitative risk analysis
  • Experience in acquiring, developing and managing project teams
  • Hold a current Driver license
