Project Manager
The on-time, on-budget, no-excuses kind

Location: Atlas, Port Moresby
Employment: Full-time, Local Hire

Important: If you do not have proven construction project management experience, please do not submit your CV.

Atlas is part of the Kenmore Group of Companies and supports projects across building, housing, infrastructure, steel, and civil works.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the safe, profitable, and on-time delivery of allocated construction projects from handover through to completion.

This is not a role for someone who only understands project management from a desk. We need someone who knows construction, understands site pressure, can manage teams and subcontractors, and can keep programme, cost, quality, safety, and client expectations under control.

If your experience is limited, this is not the one to test it on.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for planning, programming, and delivering construction projects to approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

That includes managing site teams, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, materials, plant, procurement, site coordination, progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and contractual notices.

You’ll monitor project costs, forecast cost-to-complete, manage margins, prepare monthly project reports, and identify delays before they become major problems.

You’ll also be responsible for workplace health and safety, quality assurance, inspections, handover documentation, defects rectification, and project close-out.

You’ll work closely with the Construction Manager, Steel House Manager, estimators, site supervisors, fabrication teams, finance, clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities.

The expectation is simple: control the project, protect the margin, deliver safely, and finish properly.

Who This Suits

This role suits an experienced Project Manager or senior construction professional with real site and contract management experience.

You understand construction programmes, site coordination, contract administration, subcontractor management, variations, claims, cost control, forecasting, and formal client correspondence.

You know how to lead people, not just follow a programme. You can direct site teams, deal with pressure, solve problems quickly, and make decisions that keep work moving.

You should be confident managing multiple work fronts, maintaining safety and quality standards, and keeping clients and consultants properly informed.

You are organised, commercially aware, practical, and able to manage both the paperwork and the site realities.

If people already rely on you to bring order to a busy construction project, this will feel familiar.

Why You’ll Like Working Here

Atlas is involved in real construction, building, housing, infrastructure, steel, and civil works projects.

You’ll be part of a business where project delivery matters, strong leadership is valued, and good project managers are taken seriously.

This is a role where safety, programme, cost, quality, and client relationships all matter.

How to Apply
