CreditBank PNG is recruiting for a suitable candidate for the role of Project Officer.
The Project Officer supports the planning, execution, and delivery of projects under the guidance of senior project officers or project managers.
This position provides an opportunity to develop skills in project management while contributing to various aspects of the project lifecycle, including scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
The Project Officer is responsible for assisting in project administration, tracking progress, and ensuring project activities are aligned with organizational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and schedules.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring that resources are available and tasks are completed on time.
- Monitor project progress, report on milestones, and assist with status updates.
- Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring that records are accurate and organized.
- Support risk management efforts by tracking issues and identifying potential risks.
- Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed of project developments.
- Assist with budgeting and financial tracking, including processing invoices and monitoring project expenses.
- Help organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting notes.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and standards as directed by senior team members.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new project management tools or techniques to continuously improve project execution.
Key Competencies
- Previous experience as a Project Officer or similar role an advantage.
- Understanding of Project Management methodologies, tools and processes
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
Key requirements
- Diploma in Business Management or Project Management or equivalent.
- CAPM, Prince2 or other project management certification is an advantage
