Reinhold Engineering and Group of Companies Limited is a nationally owned civil works and building construction company based in Port Moresby. As we continue to grow and strengthen our operations across Papua New Guinea, we are seeking a capable and experienced Project Site Engineer to supervise and deliver on our multiple project sites.

About the Role

As Project Site Engineer, you will manage and supervise all civil and structural works as well as building works on site, ensuring quality, safety, timely completion and compliance with design drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise all civil works: earthworks, drainage, roadworks, concrete works, formwork, rebar, blockwork, finishing
• Check line, level and set-out using survey instruments
• Allocate and supervise daily tasks to foremen, and subcontractors

Technical & Quality Control

• Read and interpret structural , architectural and civil drawings
• Ensure works are as per specifications, ITPs, and method statements
• Conduct pre-pour checks, compaction tests, concrete slump tests and coordinate with QA/QC

Planning & Progress

• Prepare and monitor short-term (3-week look-ahead) programs
• Track daily productivity vs target and report delays
• Requisition materials, plant and manpower ahead of time to avoid downtime

HSE Compliance

• Implement and enforce company HSE Management System
• Lead daily toolbox talks, ensure PPE compliance and safe works methods
• Stop unsafe works and report all incidents/near misses

Cost & Documentation

• Prepare Daily Site Reports, weekly progress reports, site diaries, and measurement sheets
• Take joint measurements with client representative for progress claims and variations
• Control wastage of materials (cement, rebar, timber) on site

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in civil engineering & construction industry
• Must possess technical expertise to ensure daily construction activities meet quality, safety and productivity requirements.
• Proven experience with supervising subcontractors and direct hire employees.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent reporting skills both verbal and written
• Must have a Class 3 Driver’s License
