Properties & Facilities Building Manager

We are pleased to announce an open vacancy now exists in our Facilities & Ground Services Department for a qualified and experienced Properties & Facilities Building Manager.

Based in Port Moresby this position will report to the General Manager Operations. This role is responsible for the management of all company support facilities such as properties and vehicles.

The Properties, Facilities & Building Manager will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

  • Managing the overall maintenance of all company buildings (including outports) in carpentry/plumbing/electrical related responsibilities on a day to day basis
  • Responsible for upgrades associated with PNG Air properties and those leased from NAC
  • Responsible for the regular company pest control
  • Including any other related duties
  • Managing the light repair vehicle workshop
  • Managing the workforce (Mechanics)
  • Managing all vehicle safety registrations
  • Responsible for providing recommendations for replacement of agent fleets where required.
  • Including any other related duties

To be considered, you must have the relevant qualifications with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a Architectural Studies or related fieilds.
  • Have the handyman experience in plumbing, carpentry, building.
  • Experiences in Construction and Building Maintenance
  • The ability to provide advice to senior management team and the concerned key personnel on matters relating to fuel operations, facilities, transport and landside security and driving required changes.
  • Has sound understanding of the development of budgets and the critical elements of a budget
  • Know CASA regulations
