We currently have a vacancy for a QC Lab Technician (LAE) to join our already strong and effective Quality Control Team in LAE. This role will be reporting to the QAQC Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests to monitor the quality of raw materials, in-process product, and finished products. The technician ensures all products meet internal standards and regulatory requirements by conducting accurate, timely, and properly documented analyses.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform daily sample management and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products according to standard procedures.
- Conduct tests for key parameters based on sampling and testing plan, test methods can refer to SOP, and research different test methods on international standard.
- Record, analyse, and report results accurately in quality logbooks and software systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory environment in compliance with hygiene and GMP standards.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory and related equipment to ensure the accuracy.
- Report any deviations or non-conforming results to the related Supervisor and manager
- Prepare daily quality reports and participate in shift handovers.
- Assist in investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Follow safety procedures and proper handling of laboratory chemicals and equipment.
- Manage chemicals inventory and consumables inventory

- Actively comply with Safety WALK’s and TALK’s according to the schedule.
- Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment required in designated areas (100% compliance).
- Comply with all safety, quality and Goodman Fielder policies and practices.

- Internal: QA/QC Supervisor, QA/QC Manager, Production Operators, Maintenance Team
- External: Equipment Vendors (for calibration/service), External Labs

Experience / Qualifications Required
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a quality control or laboratory setting (preferably in feed or food industry).
- Basic knowledge of production processes and related quality parameters.
- Familiarity with lab instruments and testing protocols.
- Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
