We currently have a vacancy for an QC Technician (LAE) to join our already strong and effective Quality Control Team in LAE. This role will be reporting to the QAQC Supervisor. The successful incumbent will be responsible for conducting quality checks at various stages of the production process within the plant. This includes on-the-spot sampling, inspection, testing, and reporting to ensure all materials and processes comply with product quality and safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform routine on-site inspections and sampling of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
- Monitor production line parameters and ensure compliance with established quality control standards.
- Conduct basic on-site quality tests (e.g., moisture checks, sieve analysis, temperature monitoring) as requested by management arrangement.
- Identify and report any deviations or abnormalities in product quality to the QAQC Supervisor and Production Lead.
- Ensure timely communication between the lab and production teams during any quality issues or adjustments.
- Check sanitation, hygiene, and GMP compliance across the production and warehouse
- Ensure sampling procedures and retention sample storage follow SOPs.
- Support traceability by maintaining accurate, real-time documentation of inspection activities.
- Assist with verification of metal detectors, sieves, and inline quality devices.
- Participate in quality audits and safety walkthroughs on the production floor.

- Prevent any environmental incidents from occurring and actively report any safety concerns, near miss or incidents to the Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator and your immediate Manager when the incident occurs.
- Actively comply with Safety WALK’s and TALK’s according to the schedule.
- Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment required in designated areas (100% compliance).
- Comply with all safety, quality and Goodman Fielder policies and practices.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
- Internal: QC Supervisor, QA/QC Manager, Production Operators, Maintenance Staff
- External: Occasionally with equipment technicians or raw material suppliers (during inspections)

Experience / Qualifications Required
- A diploma in Food Science, Biology, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in a quality-related role in a food or feed
- Basic knowledge of feed or food production processes.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
- Good observation, documentation, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and in production-floor environments.
