QUALITY AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER (CERT IV)
For over 18 years, High Arctic has partnered with customers in Papua New Guinea's oil and gas sector, providing quality-driven services that address critical operational and business challenges. We are seeking motivated and safety-focused Quality & Compliance Officers (Cert IV) to join our team.
Reporting to the Quality & Compliance Team Lead and working closely with operational leadership, the successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring compliance with company systems and procedures, conducting audits and incident investigations, and motivating continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
To succeed in this role, Candidates will meet the following criteria:
- Conduct workplace audits and compliance assessments.
- Investigate workplace incidents.
- Facilitate root cause and corrective action development.
- Monitor compliance with High Arctic management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain hazardous chemical registers and safety data sheets.
- Assist site management by providing accurate performance data and analytics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, and operational performance.
- Promote and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and company values. Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- Current PNG Driver’s Licence.
- Incident Investigation Training.
- Auditor Training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum two years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry or similar operating environments.
Desirable:
- FIFO/rotational work experience.
- Exposure to process safety principles.
