QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR– LAE BASE

International Food Corporation Limited, the leading manufacturer of Besta Mackerel and Tuna products in Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and qualified individual to fill the position of Quality Assurance Inspector.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

Approve incoming materials by verifying specifications, conducting visual and measurement inspections, and rejecting or returning materials that do not meet required standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Approve in-process and finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
• Communicate required adjustments to the Production Supervisor and return products for rework where necessary.
• Review products and materials during manufacturing to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing rework and waste, and entering data into the quality database.
• Maintain and operate measuring equipment in accordance with operating instructions and report any faults for repair.
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by following company standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
• Continuously improve knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SSOP, Employee Terms & Conditions, and PNG Fisheries Standard Requirements.
• Ensure all standard documentation procedures are followed in recording, filing, and maintaining quality data.
• Understand and comply with all Occupational Health & Safety requirements within the working environment.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned to support the Quality and Organizational objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Applied Science or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
