CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of Quality Assurance Manager.
The QA Manager will have primary responsibility for managing the assurance function within the Enterprise Risk Management department. He/she will ensure that the end-to-end Credit process of CreditBank PNG is reviewed regularly against policies and procedures and provide regular reports to management and recommendations to the first line and Credit functions. As part of its enterprise risk management function, the QA Manager will also manage non-credit assurance exercises in relation to policy compliance including control testing and report to management. This role is based in Port Moresby.
Key responsibilities
- Establish a QA framework upon which to align activities, reviews and plans in line with the ERM annual plan.
- Carry out regular credit quality assurance reviews verifying the accuracy and completeness of data used in assessing creditworthiness and make recommendations for improvement.
- Carry out regular reviews to ensure that the business has effective procedures and controls for compliance with Lending and Credit policies and guidelines and make recommendations for improvement.
- Report any breach or foreseeable breach of Group policies or procedures.
- Monitor and track non-compliant files to ensure timely closure.
- Provide monthly and quarterly assurance reports to management to ensure issues are closed.
- Conduct and report on non-credit assurance exercises as required by the Head of ERM.
- Assist with policy and procedure reviews in relation to recommendations from reviews
- Manage the QA scorecard within the ERM team.
- Other duties as required by the Head of ERM.
Requirements for the role
Formal Education
- Degree in Banking or Finance
- Proven experience in assurance or compliance
- Proven experience with Credit and lending processes
Experience
- At least 10years experience in credit and lending roles in a regulated banking or financial services environment.
- Attention to detail and deadline oriented
- Has exposure to senior management reporting
- Experience with formulating and reviewing policies based on prudential standards and banking operations
- Over 5 years’ experience in an assurance role
- Excellent written and oral command of English
- Team player and ability to work across team
