CreditBank PNG is recruiting for a suitable candidate for the role of Quality Assurance Officer.
The Quality Assurance Officer will work with the Quality Assurance Manager and have primary responsibility for conducting checks on the end-to-end Credit process of CreditBank PNG providing assurance that the first line and Credit have followed due process in the writing, processing and maintenance of loan accounts. The QA Officer will also conduct non-credit assurance exercises from time to time in support of the Enterprise Risk Management function in relation to policy compliance. This role is based in Port Moresby.
Key responsibilities
- Conducts assurance testing to confirm that lending procedures and guidelines have been adhered to on a regular basis
- Support QA Manager in carrying out regular credit quality assurance reviews verifying the accuracy and completeness of data used in assessing credit worthiness and making recommendations for improvement.
- Report any breach or foreseeable breach of Group policies or procedures.
- Monitor and track non-compliant files to ensure timely closure
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly assurance reports to management
- Conduct non-credit assurance exercises as required by the BU Head
- Ensure requirements according to the annual QA scorecard are met
Other Duties:
- Other duties as required by the QA Manager and Head of ERM.

Formal Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in business, business administration, commerce, or a related field.
Experience
- Experience in assurance or compliance (mandatory)
- Experience with Credit and lending processes (mandatory)
- Attention to detail and deadline oriented
- Has exposure to management reporting
- Familiarity with policies, prudential standards and banking operations
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in credit and lending roles in a regulated banking or financial services environment.
- Over 2 years’ experience in an assurance role
- Excellent written and oral command of English
- Team player
