About the Role

TE PNG Ltd is seeking an experienced and licenced Technician with skills in refrigeration, air-conditioning and gas experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of refrigeration systems, air-conditioning units, and HVAC systems. You will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing cooling and refrigeration equipment, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and in compliance with all regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration and cooling systems, identifying problems and providing effective solutions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on refrigeration and air-conditioning units to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
• Install refrigerant lines, electrical connections, and insulation to ensure systems operate safely.
• Test systems for efficiency and diagnose issues related to compressors, evaporators, condensers, and other key components.
• Recharge refrigerants and ensure systems are running in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining necessary repairs, maintenance, and replacements to clients clearly.
• Keep accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each project.
• Stay current on industry best practices, new technologies, and refrigerant regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed, ensuring timely and effective solutions for customers.
• Provide estimates and recommendations for repairs, replacements, or upgrades to clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Technician or in a similar role.
• Valid certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or air-conditioning systems.
• Solid understanding of refrigeration systems, air-conditioning units, and HVAC technology.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of refrigerant types, handling, and regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid Full-Class driver’s license

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with both residential and commercial systems.
• Familiarity with advanced HVAC systems and smart technologies.
• Certification in specialized systems, such as refrigeration for industrial applications or energy-efficient systems.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers
