Position

We’re seeking to recruit a results-driven and professional Refrigeration & Air-conditioning Mechanic for our Port Moresby office. Refrigerator and Air Conditioning Mechanic’s role is to install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and cooling systems and Chiller. Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigerators, chillers, and air conditioning units.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in cooling systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Replace defective parts such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and fans.
• Recharge refrigerants and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Test system performance and adjust controls for efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service schedules.
• Provide technical advice to clients on proper usage and maintenance of equipment.

Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.

Qualifications & Experiences

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations related to refrigerants.
• Trade Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent technical training.
• Proven experience in refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigerants, and cooling technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
