Credit Corporation Properties (PNG) Limited seeks an experienced person to fill in the role of Refrigeration & Air conditioning Mechanic.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across various settings. This role demands a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components, diagnostic skills, and adherence to safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Schedule and conduct monthly preventive maintenance and quarterly chemical cleaning for all air conditioning units in EDL & EML.
• Maintain air conditioning units to brand standards, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
• Install, repair, maintain, and service air conditioning systems, water-cooling systems, refrigerators, and related equipment.
• Perform building equipment maintenance to ensure all facilities function properly.
• Coordinate with HVAC vendors to maintain optimal system performance.
• Conduct maintenance checks, including cleaning evaporator drain pans, coils, and filters; lubricating components; and repairing or replacing motors, wiring, belts, compressors, thermostats, and other elements.
• Complete assigned work orders per industry and company standards and prepare activity reports for management.

Other duties

• Undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as required by the OIC Repair & Maintenance or Facility Manager as directed.
• Familiar with Commercial building set-up including operations of Credit House if temporary coverage is required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 3 years in Air-Condition/ Refrigeration Mechanic role.
• Experience with managing the Occupational Health & Safety Environment in the workplace.
• Certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanics or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostics.
• Ability to read technical documentation and schematics.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in varying environments.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Formal Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanics, HVAC, or a related field.
• Trade certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanics.
• Possess a Valid driver's license.
