Position Title: Regional Sales Manager

As part of our growth strategy, we seek a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee sales operations in the Coastal and Goroka regions.

Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager will develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company targets in the Coastal and Goroka regions. Based in Port Moresby, the incumbent will manage a dynamic sales team, foster relationships with key clients, and ensure optimal market penetration. This role requires a results-driven professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Provide training and support to ensure team alignment with company goals.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the Coastal and Goroka regions.
    • Address client needs and resolve issues to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Monitor and manage sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
    • Ensure effective distribution and availability of products across the assigned regions.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Track sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
    • Implement corrective actions to address underperformance or market challenges.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales management experience in the FMCG industry.
    • Strong understanding of the Papua New Guinea market, particularly in the Coastal and Goroka regions.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
