Position Description
We are seeking a Registered Architect to lead architectural projects from concept to completion. The primary role will be to run construction documentation and coordination for existing and upcoming company projects. In your role you will be supported by both the Directors and the broader team in achieving successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and planning for commercial projects
- Develop detailed drawings, blueprints, and specifications using REVIT software
- Conduct site visits and oversee construction to ensure compliance with design intent and building codes
- Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project timelines
- Ensure all designs adhere to local zoning regulations, building codes, and environmental regulations
- Stay updated on architectural trends, materials, and technologies
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to team development
- Organisational skills demonstrating time management and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to challenging situations
Qualification
- Minimum five years of supervised professional experience under a registered architect
- BoAPNG accreditation or similar certification
- Experience with large scale or high-profile projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to show ability to express ideas effectively both orally and in writing
- Proficient in REVIT
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary construction practices and material and assembly techniques
- Good knowledge of structural, electrical, hydraulic, fire and mechanical engineering as related to buildings
- Demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes and standards regulating the design and construction of buildings
- Design oriented and flexible to develop dynamic detail solutions to realise the design intent of projects
