CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of Relationship Manager – Lae Branch.

The Relationship Manager role is to deliver the financial & operational performance of the geography. The incumbent will be responsible for driving frontline sales in their allocated jurisdiction including new business lending and deposit gathering to achieve key targets and business outcomes. The role is based in Lae.

Key responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible for:

• Prepare and compile new loan applications.
• Perform quality checks on other loan applications that are ready for approval stage and settlement.
• Contribute to the compilation of lending proposals and ensure all aspects meet the company’s high credit quality standards for assessment by the Credit and Risk teams.
• Keep clients informed on CBP loan policies and regulations in place.
• Develop enduring relationships with CBP existing and prospective customers and demonstrate a solid
• understanding of key business sectors and industries.
• Contribute to the development of unique value propositions, products, and services for target customer segments.
• Upload all securities under CBP on the Personal Property Securities Register.
• Maintain relations with relevant stakeholders (major dealers, panel insurance companies and brokers for
• insurance premium funding and for insurance covers).
• Adhere to all Financial Prudential Standards and governance, risk and compliance policies and procedures.
• Develop a high performance, customer focused, values driven culture across the CCF branch team.
• Actively manage each team member’s performance against KRAs, KPIs and values and behaviors.
• Coach and develop the sales and service team to enhance sales effectiveness and improve credit quality.
• Other duties as required by the Head of Lending.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

Mandatory:

• Bachelor’s degree in financial services or business-related studies.
• 5+ years of experience in a financial institution
• 5+ years’ experience in credit/loan assessment or loans officer role.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) / interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, database, accounting software.
• Sound knowledge on financial analysis, loan analysis, underwriting.
