CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of Relationship Officer_ Mt Hagen Branch.

The Relationship Officer is responsible for supporting frontline sales activities, processing loan applications, preparing loan documentation, assisting with credit assessments, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements. The Position is based at Mt Hagen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and compile new loan applications.
• Draft and create loan contracts.
• Assist in preparing lending proposals.
• Ensure loan submissions meet credit quality standards for Credit and Risk assessment.
• Educate clients on loan policies and regulations.
• Support face-to-face client interviews and handle telephone enquiries.
• Assist current and prospective customers with loan products.
• Contribute to developing products and services for target customer segments.
• Register securities on the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR).
• Maintain relationships with dealers, insurance companies, and brokers.
• Adhere to prudential standards and internal governance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.

Other Duties

• Provide support to the Senior Relationship Manager.
• Undertake additional duties as required.

Key requirements

• University Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years in a financial institution or credit assessment, loans officer or similar lending role.
• Knowledge of financial analysis, loan analysis & credit assessment underwriting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications database and accounting software.
