RESERVATIONS OFFICER

The Commercial Department is seeking for an experienced candidate for the positions of Reservations Agent based in our Lae Sales Office located at Nadzab Airport.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will operationally report to the Sales & Reservations Manager and will be responsible:

• Do Computer reservations & ticketing via Videcom Reservations System (VRS)

• Collect payments for ticket sales in cash, by cheque, purchase orders, credit cards, bank cards (EFTPOS) or through direct deposits using VRS providing the funds to be cleared by finance section.
• Maintain and provide the highest standard of customer service at all times.

• Ensure that customers/clients are informed appropriately of fare rules and ticketing conditions.
• Attend to general enquiries from customers/ clients and redirecting onto other departments within the company E.g. Cargo, Accounts or HR.
• Inform customers/clients of appropriate fare rules and ticketing conditions.
• Attend to general enquiries and assign accordingly.
• Adhere to general office SOPs at all times.
• Ensure sales report is submitted to supervisor to check at the end of each shifts.
• Attend to other duties as delegated by the Reservations Manager

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES

• Must complete Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• At least 1-3 years’ working experience in sales or related field
• High level of computer literacy especially in MS Excel and Word,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have high customer service standards.
• Must have a valid Police Clearance
